enjoying the highest blessings of God

The blessings of God are in categories. There’re the blessings that take care of your needs beyond your wildest expectations and there’re the blessings that make you a channel of blessing to others. From your blessings, other people receive their own blessings. Now that is where God is taking you to in the coming year. Praise God.

Let’s pray

Father in the name of Jesus Christ, I pray for understanding on enjoying the highest blessings of the kingdom to be released on your children that we may become proves of your existence. Give us the grace to walk in the light given to us all in the name of Jesus Christ.

Amen.

What is the highest blessing of the kingdom?

It’s vital to understand that blessings are in degrees. Here we’re talking about the blessing that makes you a conduit of blessings to others. When God called Abraham He said to him, “… I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.” Genesis 12:1-3. God’s plan is not blessing you. God’s plan is making you a channel of blessings to the families of the earth.

Prevailing by prayer and fasting

Prayer and fasting is our greatest tool for prevailing against the seemingly difficult situation we may have found ourselves in. We communicate with God through prayers and position ourselves to receive the answer in form of instructions and direction through fasting. Fasting helps us put our body under our spirit so that our spirit will be able to receive spiritual instructions from God.

Let’s pray

Eternal Father whom alone dwells in the light unapproachable, give us light that will empower us to prevail through prayer and fasting in the name of Jesus Christ.

Amen.

Mark 9:29,

And he said unto them, this kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.

There is a kind of victory that only prayer and fasting can deliver to you. He said this kind can only happen by prayer and fasting.

The disciples of Jesus had engaged all the principles of deliverance he taught them but the demon refused to come out of the child. They had nothing more to offer. They had spent their time and energy in a fruitless exercise as it were. And here came Jesus telling them, “This kind can only come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.”

It’s important to note that these men had never fasted all their life at least not when Jesus was with them.  Then came to him the disciples of John, saying, Why do we and the Pharisees fast oft, but thy disciples fast not? ¹⁵ And Jesus said unto them, Can the children of the bridechamber mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? but the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken from them, and then shall they fast. – Matthew 9:14-15 (KJV). They didn’t have what it take to handle this situation.

You don’t prepare on the war front. You prepare long before the war comes to you. These men were not prepared before the war came to them so they lost out. We’re in a war whether you recognize it or not. When the war reaches your doorstep and you’re not prepared for it, you will be defeated with ease.

From our opening text, note what Jesus said, “… prayer and fasting.” A lot of people misquote the bible saying fasting and praying. That isn’t what Jesus said. He said you pray and fast not fast and pray. By not understanding what the scriptures say about prayer and fasting, many people fast without praying thereby wasting their time and effort.

When people say they are fasting and praying, what they’re saying is that they’re abstaining from food to pray. But that isn’t what Jesus told his disciples to do. He told them to pray and because of the prayer they’re making to God, they will consciously abstain from eating.

You see the order? You’re fasting because you’re praying and not because you’re not eating. We’re fasting to hear from God and not for God to hear us.

Fasting positions our spirit to hear from God. Before Jesus told his disciples that this kind comes forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting, he had earlier said to them, “O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I suffer you?” – Mark 9:19 (KJV). The disciples of Jesus weren’t able to cast the demon out because of their faithlessness not because of their powerlessness.

Not praying and fasting cut them off from accessing the word of God that would have produced the faith to kick the devil out of that child. We know that faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God (Romans 10:17 – KJV). Until the word of God comes to us, faith can’t be produced in us.

Because God is a Spirit (John 4:24), He only speaks to our spirit. During prayer and fasting, we speak to God through prayer and position our spirits to hear God through fasting. Fasting keeps our flesh under our spirit in other for our spiritual sense to become active to easily pick up spiritual signals from God.

The New Year is just around the corner, in preparing for it, we must spend quality time to pray and fast so that we will not be cut off guard in the coming year. For those of you who would like to join us, we’re kicking off our prayer and fasting to position ourselves for the coming year on the 29^th of December to end on the 31^st. We break our fast at 6 P.M of every prayer and fasting day.

We’re seeking the face of God for the coming year. A man who must prevail with men must have prevailed with God. Beyond the collective word of God for the church, we must seek the word of God for our lives individually and also commit our plans for the coming year into the hand of God. There may be thing God wants you to make amend in your plan for the coming year. It’s through this kind of spiritual exercise that you can know them.

In this three day prayer and fasting, don’t occupy yourself with irrelevant activities so that you don’t feel hungry until it’s time to break the fast. No, you must be actively involved in prayer. As we said earlier, its prayer that keeps you in a fast not fasting that keep you in prayer.

So, aside from praying, the only activity you should indulge yourself in and encourage are such that would further inspire you to pray, such as studying and meditating on the word of God, listening to tapes of seasoned teachers of the word of God, listening to Godly spiritually inspired songs and reading Godly spiritual books.

Genesis 32:21-28 (KJV)

So went the present over before him: and himself lodged that night in the company. ²² And he rose up that night, and took his two wives, and his two womenservants, and his eleven sons, and passed over the ford Jabbok. ²³ And he took them, and sent them over the brook, and sent over that he had. ²⁴ And Jacob was left alone, and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day. ²⁵ And when he saw that he prevailed not against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh; and the hollow of Jacob's thigh was out of joint, as he wrestled with him. ²⁶ And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said I will not let thee go, except thou bless me. ²⁷ And he said unto him, What is thy name? And he said, Jacob. ²⁸ And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.

For Jacob to prevail with God, he distanced himself from every form of distraction. The bible says that he was left alone. Distance yourself from every form of distraction in these three days with God. If possible, switch off your phone, your internet, etc.

Jacob didn’t go to the angel of God, no; the angel came to him because he was seeking God. You can’t seek for God and He will not come to you (Jeremiah 29:13). Seeing God when he comes to you is the issue. God is always speaking to us but we aren’t hearing because we’re always distracted.

If Jacob was distracted, he wouldn’t have seen the angel that changed his story. Remember, we’re praying and fasting to hear from God not to lose weight, keep in shape or for any other reason whatsoever

If you desire specific outstanding result in the coming year that only the anointing can produce. You need to spend quality time to speak in tongues, study and meditate on the word of God during this three days spiritual exercise.

Prayer and fasting is a spiritual exercise so if you’re not yet saved, you can’t get any benefit engaging in this exercise. Salvation enrolls you to become a participant in spiritual exercises. If you wish to be saved say the following prayers with me from the depth of your heart with all sincerity.

PRAYER OF SALVATION

Oh Lord God, I believe with my entire hearth in your son Jesus Christ. I believe He died for me and You raised Him from the dead. I believe He is alive today. I confess with my mouth that Jesus Christ is the Lord of my life from today. Through Him and in His name I have eternal life.

I am born again. Thank you, Lord. I am now a child of God. Praise God!

PASTOR’S PRAYER FOR YOU

Father in the name of Jesus Christ, I declare your spiritual ears open to hear from God in this three days of prayer and fasting. Your eyes are opened to discover spiritual secrets from the pages of scriptures as you study your bible in the name of Jesus Christ.

Your encounter with God in this three days of prayer and fasting will make the coming year a walkover for you. You shall not struggle in the coming year in the name of Jesus. By light, you shall be exalted in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

PERSONAL CONFESSION

As a child of God, my spirit is in tune with the Spirit of God my Father to receive guidance from now henceforth in all things. I follow the instructions God gives to me diligently and promptly in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Praise God. You’re set for a glorious time with God in this three day of prayer and fasting. Take writing materials with you to put down whatever God will be telling you so you don’t forget them.

Jesus is Lord

The Essence of Christmas celebration.

Christmas is not only about the celebration of the birth of Christ. It’s also the celebration of what Christ came to do on earth and the celebration of what we became through his birth.

Before the birth of Christ, many prophets had foretold his coming. His coming was foretold to be different from anyone else who had been or would be because of what his coming was to usher into the world and to humanity.

Prophet Isaiah by the spirit of God prophesied saying, “Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions; he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes, we are healed.” Isaiah 53:4-5 (KJV). These are few things the coming of Christ was foretold to achieve.

We aren’t celebrating the fact that Christ was born only. We’re celebrating his birth, the things his birth, his presence, and his death gave us access to and made us become.

There’re people who argue that Christ wasn’t born in December. Fine! But his birth isn’t as significant as what it accomplished. What we’re celebrating is Christ accomplishment.

What Jesus Christ came to earth to do?

And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

Matthew 1:21 (KJV)

The angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph the husband of Mary in a dream and told him that the child Mary was carrying would be called Jesus. He said the reason was that this child Jesus was going to save his people from their sins. Note, he didn’t say he was going to save his people. He was specific about what Jesus was going to save his people from. He said the enemy Jesus was going to save his people from was sins.

Someone may say sin is the least of my enemy. Right now I need healing in my body, I need an increase in my finances, I need fruitfulness in my marriage, etc. But God says that isn’t what you need. He said what you need is salvation from sin. When you’re saved from sin, every other thing rearranges themselves to conform to your new status in God.

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Romans 3:23 (KJV)

God said sin is the reason why your access to God glory is blocked. The hindrance; to the health of your body (God is more concern with your health than your healing. God doesn’t want you to be sick at all), to the increase in your finances, to the fruitfulness of your marriage, to the peace of your rest, etc is sins.

Let’s look at it in the book of Psalm chapter 82 verse 5, it says, “They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course.” Their continuous walk in darkness is the reason why the foundations of their lives are out of course. Jesus was sent to show humanity the light of God in other to put back their foundations on course.

This is what we’re celebrating. The showing of God’s light to humanity for the restoration of all things to perfection.

What Jesus Christ birth made us?

After Cain killed Abel, men were separated from God. There was no more communication between man and God. Cain didn’t teach his children about God so they couldn’t know God. No one talked about God in Cain’s house. This can be regarded as the first dark age of man. Humanity lost track of his creator.

But when God gave another son to Adam, the son by name Seth gave birth to a son called Enosh who dared to try the theory of the existence of God and the bible said in Genesis 4:26, “…then began men to call upon the name of the LORD.” Men again began to seek the face of God.

It’s not what you know that matter, but what you do with what you know that makes the difference.

From there on, God began to visit men. When Jesus came, God stopped visiting men.He began to live with men. Humanity witnessed God living among them. God was resident with man through the birth of Jesus Christ.

Behold, a virgin shall be with child and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

Matthew 1:23 (KJV)

Jesus Christ was God living with men. Jesus said whosoever has seen me has seen the Father. In another place, he said, I and my Father are one. At another also he said I am in my Father and my Father is in me. So Jesus was God living among men.

When Jesus was resurrected, God left with him. But at Pentecost, God came back not to be with men but to be in men. Praise God. Paul speaking about this mystery to the Colossian church said in Colossians 1:27, “To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:” God is living inside of you. You’re God’s house if you’re saved (born again).

… Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

1 Corinthians 6:19 (KJV)

He didn’t say the Holy Ghost is with you or is coming to you. Oh no, he said, the Holy Ghost is in you. The Holy Ghost is resident on the inside of you. You’re the house of the Holy Ghost.

He went further to tell us that this Holy Ghost is a fullness of a part of God given to you. Look at it again, it says, “… which ye have of God.” That is the Holy Ghost which is in you is a full part that came from God. The Holy Ghost is a full part of the Spirit of God.

For illustration, when you go to a river and take a bucket of water, what you took is a full part of the river. The content of the bucket of water you took home is the same with what is left in the river. What the water in the river can do, the one in your bucket can also do it. The beauty of it is you can always go at any time your content is depleted to draw more.

You carry God on the inside of you praise God. This was made possible because Jesus was born. Halleluiah! Praise be to God in the Highest. This is what we’re celebrating this Christmas and any other Christmas. Glory be to God.

Jesus coming to earth is a blessing to me, I don’t know about you. If you aren’t yet saved from your sin, you don’t have any reason to celebrate Christmas because God isn’t yet resident in you.

However, this is an opportunity to have God live inside of you and have a reason to celebrate Christmas. If you want to celebrate Christmas with purpose, join us now and say the following prayer from the depth of your heart with all sincerity.

PRAYER OF SALVATION

Father in the name of Jesus Christ, I declare the Christmas of this your child blessed. This is your best Christmas ever in the name of Jesus Christ.

A celebration will no longer cease in your life. For you, it’s from one celebration to the next from today forward in the name of Jesus Christ.

Your world has taken shape to the glory of God in the name of Jesus. Go and celebrate the God that lives on the inside of you with Joy and rejoicing.

PERSONAL CONFESSION

I am a child of God. I am born of the Spirit of God. I have all the potentials of God resident inside my spirit.

Through the Spirit of God at work in me, I command excellence after the order of God around me at all time. The wisdom of God is at work in me producing God’s kind of result in me and around me.

Praise God. You’re an ambassador to heaven to the earth.

The Little children, the young men and the Elders of the kingdom.

I remember the day God told me that I have been born again for a long time but that I have never grown a bit. It was a great shock to me because then I was trying to be born again and here was God telling me that I have passed that stage and need to begin to make progress on the next stage of my life in the kingdom.

What are the growth stages of our life in the kingdom of God? That is what this message is all about.

Recreating your world

Your world as a child of God was created at salvation but to enjoy it, you need to recreate it to your taste by filling it with the things you desire. We will be teaching you in this short message how to recreate your world as a Christian.
