We have seen the purpose of Holy Ghost baptism. Here we will be looking at the major purpose for being baptized with the Holy Ghost. The one reason for the baptism of the Holy Ghost.
A child of God is primarily baptized with the Holy Ghost for the preaching of the gospel of the kingdom of God. There are other amazing reasons we are baptized with the Holy Ghost which we would be seeing in the course of this message.

Eternal Father, we thank you for the privilege of being in your presence today. We pray for understanding into the purpose for which you give us the Holy Spirit in the name of Jesus Christ.
Amen.
Jesus Christ the Son of the living God was the first man to be officially baptized with the Holy Ghost. Before he came to the earth, a prophecy of his baptism has been foretold by the prophet Isaiah. Prophet Isaiah was specific of the purpose for which Jesus was to be baptized when he prophesied.
The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; 2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;
Isaiah 61:1-2 (KJV)
After Jesus was baptized with the Holy Ghost, he restated the purpose for which he was baptized in Luke 4:18-19.
The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, 19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
The preaching of the word of God captured the rest of the reason why we are baptized with the Holy Ghost. Because inside the word of God is the power to heal, deliver, recover the sight of the blind, set at liberty them that are bruised and the coming of the acceptable year of the lord made available.
The preaching of the word of God is the major reason God gave us the Holy Ghost.
Some folks say things like, “I don’t like preaching the word of God.” Yea that is true because you haven’t allowed the Holy Ghost to teach you the word of God.
Others say things like, “I just don’t know what to preach.” Share your personal testimony and the word of God preached by others.
Our zeal to promote the kingdom of God releases great grace on us.
Apostle Paul speaking in Roman 1:16 said,
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
Inside the preaching of the word of God is the power of God for salvation, healing, deliverance, recovery of sight, liberty and the coming of the acceptable year of the Lord made available to man.
Without the word of God, the power of God cannot be experienced. The power of God is packaged in His word.
God appeared in the beginning and with the power of His word, He fashioned the world as we know it today (Genesis 1:1-2).
At the commissioning of the disciples Jesus charged them saying,
…Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature… And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

The signs of the presence of the Holy Ghost don’t follow everyone not even those filled with the Holy Ghost. The signs follow on the bearers of the Gospel.
You can’t be a bearer of the gospel of the kingdom of God and not be a distributor of kingdom signs and wonders (Isaiah 18:8).
Those whom the signs of the Holy Ghost are following are too little compared to the multitude filled with the Holy Ghost because only a little fraction of the baptized is preaching the gospel of the kingdom.
Signs and wonders only follow addicted promoters of the kingdom of God while non promoters run after signs and wonders.
Speaking of Jesus, the book of Matthew 4:23 says.
And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.
The healing of the sick came after the preaching of the gospel.
…how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

Every miracle is a product of the recipient believes in the gospel. One who doesn’t believe in the gospel can’t receive a miracle from God.
One who doesn't believe in the gospel of the kingdom of God can't be a candidate of a miracle. A lot of people who don't receive their miracle in the presence of God are in this category.
They may say they believe but deep in their heart, they don't.
Until it's approved in the heart, the confession of the mouth doesn't save.
Salvation is a product of the agreement between the thought of the heart and the confession of the lips.
THE COMMISSIONING OF THE APOSTLES FOR THE WORK OF THE KINGDOM
Just before the ascension of Jesus Christ into heaven. The Lord commissioned his apostles for the work of the ministry but informed them not to do anything until they are filled with the Holy Ghost.
Acts 1:8
…but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth."
The power to become Christ witness comes upon us at Holy Ghost baptism. Effective witnessing is the sole purpose of Holy Ghost baptism.
Why you may ask.
Because the Holy Ghost is the only one who reproves sinners of sin.
John 16:7-8 says:
Nevertheless, I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. 8 And when he has come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
You can preach the best sermon on earth but if the Holy Ghost doesn’t reprove the world of sin, they will never turn to God. The Holy Ghost is the one who turns the heart of the world to God for their salvation.
It’s vital we know that one who is not saved can’t be baptized with the Holy Ghost and therefore can’t preach the world effectively. Until one is born again, he can’t lead others to Christ and he can’t receive the Holy Ghost.
If you wish to be saved, say the following prayer of salvation with me from the depth of your heart with all sincerity.
PRAYER OF SALVATION
Oh Lord God, I believe with my entire hearth in your son Jesus Christ. I believe He died for me and You raised Him from the dead. I believe He is alive today. I confess with my mouth that Jesus Christ is the Lord of my life from today. Through Him and in His name I have eternal life.
I am born again. Thank you, Lord. I am now a child of God. Praise God!

PERSONAL CONFESSION
I am a child of God. I am born of the Holy Spirit of God. I believe in the Holy Ghost and in His ministry on the earth in the name of Jesus Christ.
I believe the Holy Ghost is here on earth to guide me to manifest the full nature of God. I trust in His ability to lead me right.
Therefore, I am the servant of the Holy Spirit of God to the fulfillment of the will of God on earth.
