Every product has a procedure for production. When the procedure is altered or in complete, the desired product will not be gotten. In the same way, there is a procedure one must follow to be born again.
The procedures are
as follows:
1. You must recognize you are a sinner.
The phrase “you are
a sinner” connote that you belong to the kingdom of sin. The scripture refer to this kingdom as the
power of darkness in Colossians 1:13:
Who hath delivered
us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom
of his dear Son:
Every sinner is a
national of the kingdom of darkness. He lives there and as such is controlled
by its laws and powers.
Every sinner is a
servant of darkness who serves the interest of the kingdom of darkness on
earth.
The first step to
being born again is to know where you are at the moment.
And the LORD said
unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and
look from the place where thou art …
Genesis 13:14
You don’t start
from where you are not.
Every progress
starts from where you are. If you don’t recognize where you are, you will not
take the right steps to arrive at your desired destination.
For all have
sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Romans 3:23
All have sinned
against God and because of that, God had withdrawn His glory from all.
It takes a rebirth
to have a restoration of God’s glory.
2. You must recognize that you can’t save
yourself.
No slave can save
himself from slavery. A servant can’t buy himself out of slavery because
whatever he owns is the master’s.
Every sinner is a
servant of sin as says Roman 6:20:
For when ye were
the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness.
Every servant of
sin is free from the service of righteousness.
You can’t serve sin
and serve righteousness at the same time. Our allegiance is to one master at a
time. The Bible says in Matthew 6:24:
No man can serve
two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he
will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon
Every master is
committed to keeping his servants in service forever. To do that, he fortifies
himself for any eventualities.
When a strong
man armed keepeth his palace, his goods are in peace:
Luke 11:21
A breakaway is
unlikely in this situation. It takes the service of a stronger than a master to
free a servant.
But when a stronger
than he shall come upon him, and overcome him, he taketh from him all his
armour wherein he trusted, and divideth his spoils.
Luke
11:22
Only one who is stronger than one’s
master that can save him.
3. Engage the service of a savior.
There is a savior
waiting for you to call for his help. To save is his purpose for coming to the
Earth. The Bible tells us his name in the book of Matthew 1:21:
And she shall bring
forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people
from their sins
His name isn’t
called Jesus for the fun of it. He is called Jesus in order to save people from
their sins.
When you engage his
service for your salvation, he gladly accepts and that without cost.
But not as the
offence, so also is the free gift. For if through
the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by
grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.
Romans 5:15
Jesus Christ is the
savior that saves from sin.
HOW
TO ENGAGE THE SERVICE OF JESUS CHRIST FOR YOUR SALVATION
1. You must believe that Jesus Christ is
the son of God.
For God so loved
the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him
should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into
the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that
believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned
already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of
God.
John 3:16-18
You must accept as
true that Jesus is the son of God. That is what it means to believe as stated
in the above context.
Anyone who doesn’t
believe that Jesus is the son of God cannot be saved from his or her sins no
matter what he or she does.
Be it known unto
you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of
Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him
doth this man stand here before you whole. 11 This is the stone which was set
at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. 12 Neither is
there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given
among men, whereby we must be saved.
Acts 4:10-12
There is no other
means through which any man on earth can be saved. This is the only way God chose to save man. Any other means man employ to
get to God is both a waste of time and effort and is sure not taking such
person to God.
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth,
and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
John 14:6
2. You must also believe Jesus Christ can
save you from sin.
And she shall bring
forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
Matthew 1:21
You must believe
Jesus can save you from sin to be saved. You are not going to him to try your
luck. You are going to him to save you.
Go to him like one
expecting to be saved from sin and its powers.
3. You must believe Jesus Christ died in
your place.
For
when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died
for the ungodly. 7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet
peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. 8 But God
commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 5:6-8
Jesus Christ died
for all sinners. He exchanged his life for our lives. He took our place as
condemned sinners and died so that we would take his place and life as
righteous people.
However, it is the
man who accepts this offer that lives. The man who rejects this offer still
takes his punishment of death.
That is while the
book of John 3:18 says, the one who
doesn’t accept this offer is already condemned to death.
He has made his choice;
there is nothing anyone can do for him.
4. You must believe Jesus christ is risen
from the dead.
That if thou shalt
confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that
God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Romans 10:9
You must believe
that God has raised Jesus Christ from the dead.
Christ resurrection
is the basis for our new life in God.
For if, when we
were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his
Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his
life
Romans 5:10
This life of God
which we receive at salvation first raised Christ from the death. This eternal
life resides in Jesus Christ according to 1st
John 5:11:
5. Confess Jesus Christ as Lord and
savior.
That if thou shalt
confess with thy mouth the
Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth
confession is made unto salvation.
Romans 10:9-10
Our confession of the Lordship of
Jesus Christ is the seal of our acceptance of the life of God which is in
Christ.
By our confession of the Lordship of
Jesus Christ over our life, we terminate the lordship of satan over our life.
Through this confession, we transfer
our allegiance to the Lord Jesus Christ who in turn becomes our Lord and
savior.
6. You must share Jesus Christ with others.
And he said
unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
Mark 16:15
When you become born again, you become
a member of the family of God. God’s business becomes your business.
And God’s primary business is to see
all men saved as stated in 1st
timothy 2:3-6:
For this is
good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; 4 Who will have
all men to be saved,
and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God, and
one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; 6 Who gave
himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.
The
salvation of man is the only reason God sent his only son Jesus to the earth – John 3:16. Jesus made this assignment
his only business – Luke 2:49.
The
baton has been passed over to you and me.
And all things are
of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ,
and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; 20 Now then we
are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray
you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
2 Corinthians 5:18; 20
We have been appointed as ambassadors
of reconciliation to reconcile the world to God through the preaching of the
gospel of salvation.

Prayer of salvation
We believe you have been blessed by
this message. We invite you to make Jesus Christ the Lord of your life by
saying this prayer audibly:
Oh Lord God, I believe with my entire
hearth in your son Jesus Christ. I believe He died for me and You raised Him
from the dead. I believe He is alive today. I confess with my mouth that Jesus
Christ is the Lord of my life from today. Through Him and in His name I have
eternal life.
I am born again. Thank you Lord. I am
now a child of God. Praise God!
