Understanding is the
gateway to accessing the provisions of the kingdom of heaven. We all know that
the blessings of the kingdom of God are available to every child of God.
However, it is only the child of God who has understanding (working knowledge)
of these provisions that can take delivery of them.
Until the knowledge of the
provisions of heaven is understood, they cannot be accessed.
But he that received
seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it;
which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty,
some thirty.
Matthew 13:23 (KJV)
He that received seed of
the knowledge of the word of God in his heart is he that heard and understood
what he heard. The word only bears fruit according to each ones level of
understanding; the higher your level of understanding, the greater your
fruitfulness.
What is spiritual
understanding?
Spiritual understanding
can be defined as seeing things through God’s perspective.
It is important we
understand that our point of view is a function of our positioning. The better
our position, the better our perception. The best position for a clearer and
better view is the highest point.
And the Bible makes us to
understand that God is the most high according to Genesis 14:19.
And he blessed him,
and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and
earth:
God who sits on the
highest point is in the best position to see things clearly and better. God
shows us things from His perspective in order for us to get His kind of result.
Moreover the word of
the LORD came unto me, saying, Jeremiah, what seest thou? And I said, I see a
rod of an almond tree. 12 Then
said the LORD unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to
perform it.
Jeremiah 1:11-12
(KJV)
The
clearer you see what God is showing you, the faster its delivery.
What do you see? Are you
seeing what God is showing you or are you seeing what you think is right? What
you think is based on your positioning. God is saying come up to my position to
see well.
After this I looked,
and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I
heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up
hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.
Revelation 4:1 (KJV)
Until you go up to God’s
position, He cannot show you what He is seeing. And until you see what God is
seeing, you can’t act the way He acts to witness His kind of result.
Secondly, spiritual
understanding can also be defined as the discovery of practical instructions
from the pages of scriptures.
God’s directives are based
on His perception of the situation in question. God give instructions base on
what He sees from His position. When we unearth these instructions from
scriptures and apply them, we get God’s kind of result.
A wise man
will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain
unto wise counsels:
Proverb
1:5 (KJV)
The best a wise man can
get out of knowledge is increase in learning (knowledge) but a man of
understanding goes beyond increase in knowledge to the discovery of applicable
practical instructions from knowledge (pages of scriptures) that when applied
delivers undeniable results (proves).
God’s
instructions are a product of God’s perception
Why is understanding a
crucial factor in accessing the provisions of the kingdom of heaven?
This is because; the
provisions of the kingdom of God are hidden in the wisdom of the kingdom to
preserve them until their appointed time of manifestation.
Every provision of the
kingdom of God has an appointed time of manifestation. To prevent the untimely
abortion of these provisions, they are preserved in the wisdom of the kingdom
which can only be understood by the sons of the kingdom.
And he said unto
them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto
them that are without, all these things are done in parables:
Mark
4:11 (KJV)
It is not given to
everyone to know the wisdom (mystery) of the kingdom of God. The mystery of the
kingdom is the exclusive right of the sons of the kingdom. If you are not a son
of the kingdom, you can’t have access to the wisdom of the kingdom.
The manifestation of the
wisdom of the kingdom is what separates those within the kingdom from those
without. So until the wisdom of the kingdom is understood and applied by those
within the kingdom of God, they will still look like those without.
The
profiting of knowledge is in its application not in its accumulation.
But we speak the
wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God
ordained before the world unto our glory: 8 Which none of the princes of
this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified
the Lord of glory.
1 Corinthians 2:7-8 (KJV)
The wisdom of the kingdom
of God is hidden in mystery. And behind these mysteries is the glory of every
son of God. When you locate and apply the wisdom of God concerning any issues
of life, the glory of God packaged in that mystery is released to you. We saw
this wisdom answer to Jesus for his glorification in Mark 6:2-3.
And when the sabbath
day was come, he began to teach in the synagogue: and many hearing him
were astonished, saying, From whence hath this man these things? and
what wisdom is this which is given unto him, that even such mighty works
are wrought by his hands? 3 Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the
brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? and are not his sisters
here with us? And they were offended at him.
The wisdom of the kingdom
of God is the wisdom of mighty works not the wisdom of mighty words. By the
wisdom of God available to a carpenter, he was able to execute mighty works
that confounded everyone that once knew him. That will be your story shortly in the name of Jesus.
By your encounter with the
wisdom of the kingdom of God on this platform, your exploit will surprise all
that once knew you in the name of Jesus Christ.
What
are the keys for unlocking the mysteries of the kingdom of God?
It is vital we know that
the kingdom of God operate on keys. By these keys, we effortlessly unlock the
secrets of the kingdom. What are these keys?
1. You
must be born again.
And he said unto
them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto
them that are without, all these things are done in parables:
Mark
4:11 (KJV)
Unto them that are within
the kingdom of God it is given (prearranged) to know its mysteries (wisdom).
They that are outside the kingdom of God (without), all the things of the
kingdom of God are mere stories.
New birth (born again)
takes you from without to within the kingdom of God – Colossians 1:13.
But the natural man
receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto
him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
1 Corinthians 2:14 (KJV)
The natural man (one who
is not born again) cannot understand the things of the Spirit of God. He does
not have spiritual senses to process heavenly knowledge. Heavenly wisdom is
foolishness to him because they are outside his scope of understanding.
At new birth (born again),
your spiritual senses are reborn to be able to pick up and process heavenly
information.
2. Locate
your God’s ordained teachers
And though the
Lord give you the bread of adversity, and the water of affliction, yet shall
not thy teachers be removed into a corner any more, but thine eyes shall see
thy teachers: And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is
the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the
left.
Isaiah 30:20-21
Every good student has his
or her teachers. He said, “… but your eyes shall see your teachers.” Your eye
shall see your own God’s ordained teachers.
There are things we will
never understand until we come across the right teachers. There are people whom
God has ordained with special wisdom in specific areas for the enthronement of
His kingdom on earth.
It is only when we locate
them would our ears open to hear a word of turnaround, deliverance, healing,
breakthrough etc. behind their words.
Your God ordain teacher is
one whom you admire and respect.
3. Honor
your teachers
But Jesus said
unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among
his own kin, and in his own house. 5 And
he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick
folk, and healed them.
Mark 6:4-5 (KJV)
The prophet or the teacher
you don’t honor, his or her teachings cannot impact on you.
Jesus couldn’t impact on
his own people because they did not honor him.
Jesus had seen the
suffering of his people and had waited until his time of manifestation to help
them. When the time finally came he returned with all the love he had for his
people but he couldn’t do much for them because they did not honor him.
Any teacher or prophet you
don’t honor, don’t waste your time around him rather go locate your God sent
teacher or prophet, because you can never be blessed through a teacher or
prophet you don’t honor.
4.
Be
teachable.
The meek will he
guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.
Psalms
25:9 (KJV)
Don’t be mistaken, God
doesn’t teach everyone. He only teaches the meek (teachable). Those who will
listen and act on what they have heard from Him in obedience.
Numbers
12:3
described Moses as the meekest man on earth.
(Now the man Moses was
very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth.)
And what was the result?
He made known his
ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.
Psalms
103:7 (KJV)
Moses a very teachable man
was taught the ways of God and when he applied them, the acts of God were
manifested to the children of Israel who didn’t know the ways of God.
The acts of God are hidden
in the ways of God.
Only those who know the
ways of God can command the acts of God.
Until a man is teachable,
the acts of God are far from him.
It is not enough to have
your own teachers you must be teachable to accept whatever God has sent them to
teach you for your change to come.
5. Meditate
on the word of God
Meditate upon these
things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.
1 Timothy 4:15 (KJV)
Heavenly instructions are
unearthed from the pages of scriptures through the process of mediation.
Paul said to Timothy,
meditate on these things you have been taught until you see divine steps to
take. And when you see these instructions, give yourself to doing them until
their profiting appears to all not to you alone.
Mediating on the word of
God is to show us what to do from the pages of scripture as we can see in Joshua 1:8.
This book of the law
shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and
night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein:
for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good
success.
You are to meditate on the
word in order to know what to do. Meditating on the word is not a onetime
thing. It says, day and night .i.e. till what to do according to God’s view is
seen. When you finally see it, keep at it till its profiting appears to all.
If
you don’t act on discovered truth, you never see their profiting.
6. Act
on the discovered truth.
Now when he had left
speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets
for a draught. 5 And
Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have
taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net. 6 And when they had this
done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake.
Luke 5:4-6 (KJV)
Divine
instruction is the cure for all frustration.
It doesn’t matter how long
a situation has lasted, at the execution of divine instruction a testimony must
emerge.
If peter did not adhere to
the divine instruction Jesus gave to him, he would have gone home empty even
though he served God with his boat.
Many children of God are
in frustration because they prefer human wisdom to divine wisdom.
By all humanly available
data, fishing the time Jesus asked peter to fish was a waste of time and
energy. No good fisherman goes fishing in broad day light. But that was when
Jesus told peter to fish.
I pray that human wisdom
will not prevail over divine wisdom in your life in Jesus name.
Divine wisdom has upper
hand over human wisdom any day, anytime.
7.
Be
steadfast
Therefore, my beloved
brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord,
forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
1 Corinthians 15:58 (KJV)
The rule of the game of
success is continuity.
For you to see the
profiting of the kingdom of God, you must be steadfast in the work of the Lord
(acting on divine instructions till they deliver).
Therefore, if you know
that God is ever faithful, then you need to trust him to make good His word at
His own appointed time.
Our faith is manifested in
steadfastness.
Tomorrow, we would be
looking at: UNDERSTANDING
THE FIRST BIRTH OF MAN. Don’t miss it for anything. Your
testimony is very close and you shall not miss it in Jesus name.
Prayer of salvation
We believe you have been blessed by
this message. We invite you to make Jesus Christ the Lord of your life by
saying this prayer audibly:
Oh Lord God, I believe with my entire
hearth in your son Jesus Christ. I believe He died for me and You raised Him
from the dead. I believe He is alive today. I confess with my mouth that Jesus
Christ is the Lord of my life from today. Through Him and in His name I have
eternal life.
I am born again. Thank you Lord. I am
now a child of God. Praise God!
