Understanding God’s Righteousness in you

God’s kind of righteousness is the righteousness of being and not of doing. God cannot be separated from His righteousness. Anywhere God is seen; His righteousness is as well seen. The scripture refers to the righteousness of God as is. 

…for the LORD our God is righteous in all his works which he doeth.

Daniel 9:14

God is righteous which is expressed in all His work which he does. Righteousness is His nature. It is this nature (righteousness) that He expresses in all His work which He does. His righteousness acts doesn’t fluctuate because the source doesn’t fluctuate.

What is God’s Righteousness?

The righteousness of God is in the Spirit of God. You can’t separate God’s righteousness from His neither can you separate God’s Spirit from God. Wherever you see God, you have seen both His righteousness and His Spirit.

In fact the life of the Spirit of God is righteousness as we can see in Romans 8:10: And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

         

Take righteousness from the Spirit and He is dead. The life force of the Spirit of God is righteousness.

The Righteousness of God in You

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: ¹³ Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

John 1:12-13

Everyone who receives Jesus Christ as Lord is born of God.

And who is God? 

The book of John 4:24 make us to understand that God is a Spirit.

And what does the Spirit do?

It is the Spirit who gives life

John 6:63 (NASB)

And where is this life that the Spirit gives from?

…but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

Romans 8:10

When you get born again, you receive the Spirit of God who is the custodian of the righteousness of God. At new birth (born again) you become impregnated with the righteousness of God. You become as righteous as God. 

The book of Philippians 3:9 describes this righteousness as the righteousness:

 … which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith.

This righteousness (God’s kind) is gotten by faith in Jesus Christ. Faith in Jesus Christ is salvation (born again).

This is the only way you and I can access God’s kind of righteousness. If you desire this righteousness in your life, I invite you to make Jesus the Lord of your life. Say the prayer below with me.

Prayer of salvation

Oh Lord God, I believe with my entire hearth in your son Jesus Christ. I believe He died for me and You raised Him from the dead. I believe He is alive today. I confess with my mouth that Jesus Christ is the Lord of my life from today. Through Him and in His name I have eternal life. 

I am born again. Thank you Lord. I am now a child of God. Praise God!

Confessional Prayer

I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. I have access to God’s presence at all times. God’s righteousness which is the life force of the Spirit dwells in me and expresses the full nature of God through me. Therefore, nothing dies in me or around me. 

My life is the life of the justified (Proverb 4:18) and so is always upward and forward. My today is far better than my yesterday. Therefore, as I go out today, am returning with the testimony of the glory of God upon my life In Jesus Name.

I pray for you

Your today is declared blessed. Death is declared far from you. As the justified of God who expresses the in dwelling righteousness of God, I declare your day fruitful. Your today is better than your yesterday. You are returning home with the testimony of God’s presence in your life in the name of Jesus Christ. You cannot be disadvantaged because the advantaged God lives in you. God and prosper in Jesus name. Amen!

Meditative verse

Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

²¹ But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;

 ²² Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:

 ²³ For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

 ²⁴ Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: ²⁵ Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

 ²⁶ To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
