The blessing and curse of the land

And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shall not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shall thou eat of it all the days of thy life; Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shall eat the herb of the field; In the sweat of thy face shall thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it was thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shall thou return.

Genesis 3:17-19

God said to Adam, “because you have hearkened to the voice of your wife against my own voice to have eaten of the tree of which I commanded you not to eat; the ground is cursed for your sake.” The ground wasn’t cursed rather it was cursed for the sake of the Adam who ate of the tree he was asked not to eat.

It’s important to know the Adam whom the ground was cursed for his sake. The ground was cursed for the sake of a dead Adam, not a living Adam (living soul).

God has spoken to Adam in Genesis 2:16-17, saying, “…Of every tree of the garden thou may freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shall not eat of it: for in the day that thou eats thereof thou shall surely die.”

God said Adam will die the very day he eats of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. The bible said when he did ate it, his eyes were open and he became afraid of God his Father (Genesis 3:6-8). The man Adam died that day.

From that day, the earth and its inhabitant began to rebel against Adam: their king. They couldn’t hear him again. He became a stranger to his subjects.

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: - John 10:27

The earth and its occupants were no longer hearing the voice of their king – Adam and were no longer following his instructions. No matter how much he tried, they didn’t hear and couldn’t respond positively. He became a stranger in his own kingdom and to his own subject.

God said to this dead Adam, “In the sweat of thy face shall thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it was thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shall thou return.” The dead Adam was taken from the ground and must return to the ground. But the living Adam came from the breath of God.

And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living soul.

Genesis 2:7.

The earth was willed to the living Adam (a living soul) and not to the dead Adam. (And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth. ²⁷ So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created He them. – Gen 1:26-27)

 Everything on earth answered to him. When he called they answered and whatever he called them, they answered (Genesis 2:19). Whatever he touched lived but for the dead Adam, whatever he touched died because they don’t know him.

When God said to the dead Adam, “…cursed is the ground for thy sake.” He didn’t curse the earth but was telling the dead Adam the truth about the situation on the ground. He was telling him that the ground wouldn’t respond to him anymore as he was responding to him as a living soul. He was telling him that the earth was no longer his subject but a stranger. He no longer had the power to command the earth to his will.

The curse of the ground is in the dead Adam as the blessing of the ground is in the living Adam.

The blessing or the curse is in the man not in the earth or the things in the earth. The earth or the things in it manifest what a man carries. The man who carries a blessing has the earth responding in like fashion and the man who carries a curse the same.

And there was a famine in the land, beside the first famine that was in the days of Abraham. And Isaac went unto Abimelech king of the Philistines unto Gerar. And the LORD appeared unto him, and said, Go not down into Egypt; dwell in the land which I shall tell thee of Sojourn in this land, and I will be with thee and will bless thee; for unto thee… And Isaac dwelt in Gerar… Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year a hundredfold: and the LORD blessed him.

Genesis 26:1-12

Isaac, a blessed man lived in a land ravaged by famine and the same ground that couldn’t yield enough for those who sowed in it gave him an abundant harvest of that which he sowed. The ground responded to the man who sowed.

And Joseph found grace in his sight, and he served him: and he made him overseer over his house, and all that he had he put into his hand. And it came to pass from the time that he had made him overseer in his house, and overall that he had, that the LORD blessed the Egyptian's house for Joseph's sake; and the blessing of the LORD was upon all that he had in the house, and in the field.

Genesis 39:4-5

The Lord blessed Potiphar’s house for Joseph’s sake. God didn’t bless Potiphar’s house rather the house of Potiphar responded to the blessing Joseph carried. The house of Potiphar responded to the blessing which was in Joseph as a carrier of the presence of God.

And the LORD was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man, and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian.

Genesis 39:2

As curse answered to Adam without the presence of God, blessing answered to Abraham and his seeds who carried the presence of God.

If you want to become as a seed of Abraham and carry the blessings of God that wherever you enter, things answers to you favorably, say the following prayers with me from the depth of your heart with all sincerity.

PRAYER OF SALVATION

Oh Lord God, I believe with my entire heart in your son Jesus Christ. I believe He died for me and You raised Him from the dead. I believe He is alive today. I confess with my mouth that Jesus Christ is the Lord of my life from today. Through Him and in His name I have eternal life.

Father in the name of Jesus Christ, I decree that the blessing that follows your 

children rest upon this child of yours. From now, he or she is a cure for curses. 

Anywhere he or she enters, curses disappear in the name of Jesus.

PERSONAL CONFESSION

I am a living blessing to my world. The earth and its inhabitants' answer 

favorably to me from now on in Jesus name. I am the cure for the curses. Amen.

Jesus is Lord.

The god of this world.

I have heard a lot of people say the devil is the god of this world. But I want to tell you today that he isn’t. You would be shocked to find out who rules the world today. Join us as we reveal by the word of God, the ruler of this world.

To be misinformed is to be misled. The knowledge of yesteryears isn’t functional today. You need to be constantly updated with the truth of the kingdom to be on top.

Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh and hath nothing in me.

John 14:30

Who was Jesus referring to here? He was referring to the devil as the prince of this world. The prince here shows that the devil didn’t create the world. He as a prince inherited the government of the world. From whom you may ask? The devil took the government of this world from Adam the first prince. The bible said in Genesis 1:26-28.

And God said; Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.  So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created He, them.  And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

God created the world and gave authority to the first prince (Adam) to rule of over it. Then came the devil and overthrew Adam and became the prince of this world. After the overthrow of the government of Adam, God made a plan to restore man (the seed of Adam – Genesis 3:15) back to power.

To do this, He needed to bring in a man to overthrow the government of the devil on the earth. That man was Jesus Christ. We say Jesus is God. Yes, he is as Adam was too. Which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was the son of God? –Luke 3:38. Adam was the son of God (the Prince of the earth before his fall).

Because, the son of a man is a man, Adam was a God.

When Jesus came to reclaim the authority of the earth from the devil, the Bible says that the devil reminded Jesus of his legal right over the earth in Luke 4:5-6, “And the devil, taking him up into a high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever, I will I give it.” The devil said the power and the glory of the earth were delivered to him.

Did you notice that he didn’t create them? It was transferred to him from someone. So he wasn’t the original owner of the government of the earth.

Did you see that? Guess who delivered it to him? Adam the first prince of God delivered the authority to rule the earth to the devil. Now the second and the last prince of God Jesus Christ the prince of peace came to reclaim the authority of the earth for the seed of Adam (man).

And He said in John 12:31-33, “Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out. And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.  He said, signifying what death he should die.”

The death of Jesus was the judgment of the devil. He wasn't only judged. He was cast out of the throne of the government of this world. He isn’t ruling the world anymore. Those who are born again are the ones ruling the earth now.

Jesus Christ has cast the devil out of the government of this earth. The devil doesn’t rule the earth anymore. We the children of God do. Jesus took the power and the glory of the earth from the devil and gave it to us.

And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in the earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

Matt 28:18-19

When all is given, what remains? Nothing! The devil is left with no power. Jesus stripped him of all power. Every power in heaven and on earth has been delivered to Jesus as was delivered to the devil. Jesus now is the one in charge of all power in heaven and in the earth.

Jesus sent us to teach you this truth. Stop living in yesteryears reality. Move into today’s reality. Jesus is the one with all power now. And he took it for you. Jesus always referred to himself as the son of man. He is your brother as a man. He took all power from the devil for you, not for himself.

The devil has no power over you anymore if you’re born again rather you have power over the devil. You can stop him anytime anywhere at will. You can cast him out of any place you don’t want him to operate.

You’re the God of this world now. You’re the ruler of this world now, start ruling.

If you’re not born again, you can’t make use of the authority which Jesus has retaken for us from the devil. To rule on earth through Jesus, you must recognize his victory over the devil by accepting him as your Lord and savior.

To receive Jesus into your life, say the following prayers with me from the depth of your heart with all sincerity.

Place your right hand wherever you’re having trouble with your body. I want to pray for you to be healed.

In the name of Jesus Christ, you devil of sickness I command you to get out of that body right now. I cast you out of that body right now in the name of Jesus Christ. Never enter that body again in Jesus name. Be made whole in Jesus name. Amen.

Possess the gate

Possession of any gate is critical to victory. Anyone who takes hold of the gate of a city has conquered that city. The gate of a city is the power controlling that city. In this year of our supernatural blessing, it’s vital we take possession of the gate of our blessing.

Let’s pray.

Almighty Father, we pray for the power to take possession of our gates of the blessing of this year to your glory in the name of Jesus Christ.

Amen.

What does it mean to possess?

To possess mean to have control over something. When you have control over something, you can do with it as you please. To possess the gate of blessing means to have control to do as you please with the gate of blessing.

What is a gate?

Gate is a device that controls the inflow and outflow of a city. The gate determines what or who goes in and out of a city. It can also be referred to as the power that controls the inflow and outflow of a place. Jesus speaking in Matthew 16:18 said, “… thou art Peter, and upon this rock, I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” What Jesus meant was that the powers of hell shall not prevail against it.

Gate is the controlling power of any place. The one who is in charge of a gate is the one who is in charge of the place. You may ask what of the king? If the king sends for you without the knowledge of the gatekeeper, you can be denied access to the king at the gate without the king knowing. In fact, the king may punish you for not coming without knowing you were hindered at the gate.

What is God’s will for our gates of blessing?

And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there. And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it.

Revelation 21:25-26.

God intends that, the gate of His house of which you’re (Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? – 1 Corinthians 3:16) shall not be shut at all. Why? That the nations shall bring in their glory and honor (blessings).

Though this is God’s intention for you and me, this gates has always been a bone of contention. Paul speaking in the book of 1^st Corinthians 16:8 - 9 said, “But I will tarry at Ephesus until Pentecost. For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries.” A great door of service which had been closed before now was opened to Apostle Paul. But there was great opposition contending with him to close the door again.

The devil is never happy to see your door of blessing open. He fights day and night to keep it close and if you succeed in forcing it open, he goes to war with you to regain control of it to shut it.

When man fell out with God, the Bible says he was shut out of God’s glory.  For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. – Romans 3:23. But when Jesus came what did the Bible said?  Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up ye everlasting doors, and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory. – Psalms 24:7-10. Jesus had to open the ancient gates and doors of glory that had shut man out for him to successfully operate in God's perfect will for him.

How to keep the gate ever open.

Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up ye everlasting doors …

Psalm 24:7

When Jesus wanted his gates of glory opened, he didn’t say be ye opened ye gates and everlasting doors. No! He said, “Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors …” That means be uprooted you gates and everlasting doors. From pillar, post and bar be lifted up. Jesus didn’t want to be coming every day to check the gates to see if it’s opened. So he made sure there were no more gates. To keep your gates of blessing open at all times, you must uproot the gates and destroy them.

And it was told the Gazites, saying, Samson has come hither. And they compassed him in, and laid wait for him all night in the gate of the city, and were quiet all the night, saying, In the morning, when it is day, we shall kill him. And Samson lay till midnight, and arose at midnight, and took the doors of the gate of the city, and the two posts, and went away with them, bar and all, and put them upon his shoulders, and carried them up to the top of a hill that is before Hebron.

Judges 16:2-3.

The only way to keep the gates and doors of your blessing ever open for the promised inflow of blessings is to take out the doors of the gates, the two posts, bars and all. Look at the time Samson took those doors away. Tonight at midnight, you need to rise up and take out those gates.

How to take pull out the gates.

But I will tarry at Ephesus until Pentecost.  For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries.

1 Corinthians 16:8-9.

The way to take out opposition to your gates of blessing is to persevere in prayer. Paul said I will continue in prayer at Ephesus until Pentecost before coming to you. What is he praying for? To keep the great door of service opened to him.

Look at how Jesus made his prayer against his gates and doors of glory. , “Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up ye everlasting doors …” He just gave the command on like Samson who had to use his strength to pull up the gate.

We have authority in the name of Jesus Christ to command any gate or door to be uprooted and it will be so. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Mark 16:17-18. You don’t need to shout. Just cast out the gates standing on the authority in the name of Jesus and they will be no more.

 Now, if you aren’t born again (saved), it's vital you know that you can’t use the name of Jesus. Salvation gives you the legal right to use the name of Jesus against anything you going against your new life in God. So the be saved, say the following prayers with me from the depth of your heart with all sincerity.

2018 is your year of supernatural blessing.

Whatever you have witnessed in the last few years in terms of blessing is nothing compared to what would be kept in your custody this year. This year is not your year of blessing but your year of supernatural blessing. Your blessing of this year would be powered by the supernatural.

Let’s pray.

Faithful Father, we thank you for the blessings of last years. We thank you for making us worthy partakers of your supernatural blessing this year. Receive all the glory in the name of Jesus Christ.

Amen.

Say along with me, this year is my year of supernatural blessing. Praise God. The blessings of God coming to you this year would be powered by the supernatural. Men will look at you and say to you only the finger of God could have done this.

It’s vital to know that the treasures of the kingdom of God are released to us only according to our understanding. But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty. (Matthew 13:23). The higher your understanding of the secrets of God, the more zealous your application for the result. The man Abraham was a man known to promptly act on every revelation of God. For that, he became the father of blessing. Praise God.

What does it mean to bless?

To bless means to cause to prosper, to favor, to invoke successful outcome and to infuse with successful abilities.

When you’re blessed it’s impossible for you to fail in anything or anywhere. Blessing causes both changes in you and around you. You’re infused with successful abilities to produce the successful outcome that are favorable to those who need it.

But we’re talking about supernatural blessing here. The infusion of supernatural successful abilities that produce supernatural successful outcome that is favorable to all. Supernatural blessing causes you to prosper no matter what happens to you or around you. Isaac wasn’t successful by human abilities. He was successful by the power of God at work in him and around him.

And there was a famine in the land, beside the first famine that was in the days of Abraham. And Isaac went unto Abimelech king of the Philistines unto Gerar. And the LORD appeared unto him, and said, Go not down into Egypt; dwell in the land which I shall tell thee of. Sojourn in this land and I will be with thee, and will bless thee; for unto thee, and unto thy seed, I will give all these countries, and I will perform the oath which I sware unto Abraham thy father; …Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year a hundredfold: and the LORD blessed him. And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great:

Genesis 26:1-3; 12-13.

The supernatural blessing is an edge. It takes you beyond the normal human abilities. However, obedience precedes God’s blessing. Sojourn in this land and I will bless you, God said to him. When he had sojourned in the said land, he then sowed and received in the same year a hundredfold because the Lord had blessed him. You will not sow in vain this year in the name of Jesus.

Did you notice the sequence? He first obeyed, then he received the blessing and then he activated the blessing with labor. The land in which he sowed on was ravaged by famine. It wasn’t yielding anything productive. But the blessing of God caused both Isaac and the land to prosper. This year, the blessing of God upon your life will cause you to prosper even in the worst situations in the name of Jesus.

The power of supernatural blessing.

Where do the supernatural abilities that cause successful outcomes that favor all, at work in us came from? Where does it come from?

And when the children of Israel saw it, they said one to another, It is manna: for they wist not what it was. And Moses said unto them, this is the bread which the LORD hath given you to eat. This is the thing which the LORD hath commanded, Gather of it every man according to his eating, an omer for every man, according to the number of your persons; take ye every man for them which are in his tents. And the children of Israel did so and gathered, some more, some less. And when they did mete it with an omer, he that gathered much had nothing over, and he that gathered little had no lack; they gathered every man according to his eating. And Moses said, Let no man leave of it till the morning. Notwithstanding they hearkened not unto Moses, but some of them left of it until the morning, and it bred worms, and stank: and Moses was wroth with them. And they gathered it every morning, every man according to his eating: and when the sun waxed hot, it melted.

 And it came to pass, that on the sixth day they gathered twice as much bread, two omers for one man: and all the rulers of the congregation came and told Moses. And he said unto them, This is that which the LORD hath said, Tomorrow is the rest of the holy sabbath unto the LORD: bake that which ye will bake today, and seethe that ye will seethe; and that which remaineth over lay up for you to be kept until the morning. And they laid it up till the morning, as Moses bade: and it did not stink, neither was there any worm therein.

Ex 16:15-24 (KJV)

When God gave the children of Israel the manna, He told them to gather only as much as they could eat for each day. Some gathered more than they could eat some less. But the word of God said, when they put it in a measuring container (omer), it was the same measure. None had more or less. For those who have taken up more than they needed, the manna decreased to their need. And those who had taken up less, the manna increased to their need. Why did it happen so? Because God had said so. There’s tremendous power in the word of God to bring to pass which he had spoken.

Now, God told them not to take up any for tomorrow. The disobedient ones who kept for tomorrow woke up to see it uneatable. The word of God spoken against the manna being kept for the next day was at work in the manna for accomplishment. Now note that on the six-day, the day before Sabbath. God told them to gather for the next day. What happened to it? It didn’t spoil. It was as fresh as ever. The word of God spoken for its keeping became its preservative.

The supernatural blessing of God is resident in the word of God. When God blesses, power for a successful result is released. Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee: And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: (Genesis 12:1-2 ). The blessing of God for Abraham was in the word, “Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee.” That is where the blessing was. When he obeyed the word, the blessing that followed the word followed him.

The blessings of God don’t come by prayer; it comes by complying with the word of God. There’s always a demand God makes on us in other to bless us. The book of Proverbs 25:2 says, “It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honor of kings is to search out a matter.” Your God’s king sent to rule here on earth. And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth. (Revelation 5:10). Where you’re right now, you should be reigning. If you’re not reigning it’s because you haven’t discovered yet by search, the things which God has outlined for you to do as his king.

It’s not what you do that makes you a king. What you do compliment or critics your kingship. Kingship is an ordination, not activity. What you do as a king is what makes you reign in your kingdom. There is an evil which I have seen under the sun, as an error which proceedeth from the ruler: Folly is set in great dignity and the rich sit in low place. I have seen servants upon horses, and princes walking as servants upon the earth. (Ecclesiastes 10:5-7). Anyone who discovers the secrets of God and applies them diligently reigns as a king of God on the earth.

God spoke to me at the end of last year that this year is your year of supernatural blessings. That means the power of God will empower you beyond your normal capacity for exploit. Nothing will be impossible to you. Every disadvantage this year at your presence turns to advantage by the wisdom of God at work in you. By the end of this year, you will be ten times better than how you were at the beginning of this year. Praise God.

PASTOR’S PRAYER FOR YOU

Father in the name of Jesus Christ, I decree your divine blessings upon this your child for the greater exploits that are beyond his or her capacity. Nothing shall be difficult for you this year. Before you, every circumstance turns out favorable in the name of Jesus Christ.

I pray for the enlightenment of your spiritual eyes to see and know what God is asking you to do per time for the blessing that makes all the difference in your life in the name of Jesus Christ. The supernatural blessings of this year would be transferred to your generations after you. It shall not end with you in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

PERSONAL CONFESSION

I receive the supernatural blessings of God for all round blessings. The forces of God are at work in me and around me bringing me favorable outcomes in all things and at all times in the name of Jesus Christ.
